Trigonelle
B&B is located in a heritage home built in 1920 by the Forget
family, founders of one of the oldest lumber mills in the Mont
Tremblant region. The Forget sawmill situated on the Ruisseau
Français or Frenchman's Creek just across the street from our
home, is still one of the largest employers in the area.
Lumber and
tourism are still the mainstays of the Laurentians. Goods were
shipped by rail on the Canadian Pacific Railway line known as
the P'tit Train du Nord. Skiers headed « up north » by train
from Montreal in the winter or enjoyed wilderness adventures
in the summer. Our B&B accesses the P'tit Train du Nord
directly from our drive way. In 1995 the rail bed was converted
to a 200 km bike path running from St-Jérôme in the south to
Mont Laurier in the north. In the winter cross country skiers
enjoy the terrain from St-Jérôme to Val David and snowmobilers
ride from Val David to Mont Laurier. We are situated at km 80
from St-Jérôme.

Trigonelle's
white clapboard exterior houses an interior of honey toned tongue
and groove hardwood walls. A wide verandah invites you to sit
and watch hummingbirds in the garden or listen to the waterfall
and the brook. You can cozy up to the fireplace on a cold winter's
night and be lulled to sleep by the music of falling rain on the
tin roof. Our large garage has been converted to a cabinetmaker'sworkshop
where bicycles and skis can be safely stored at night. Avid
cyclists, we can help you fix a flat, make minor repairs or find
a spare part for your bike. We provide a smoke free environment
and two friendly dogs to keep you company :Yeti, a black Labrador
and Tasha, an Airedale mix. Your well behaved dogs are welcome.
